ABOUT ELLIE
Ellie Way is an artist and designer whose practice focus on placemaking and community storytelling. Her work explores the relationship between people and place and is often developed through extensive archive research.
Ellie is widely recognised for her Travel Poster collections, which reinterpret the landscapes, heritage and culture of West Yorkshire. Through her contemporary print design, she creates unique collections inspired by the 'golden age' of tourism and commercial posters that promote what our region has to offer in a distinctive manner.
Ellie established her studio at The Art House in Wakefield in 2018 where she works as a freelance designer and artist. Alongside her design practice, she also supports the members of The Art House Print Studio as their print technician and teaches various printmaking workshops.
